This just in from New Jersey PTA:

You've likely heard a lot of buzz about the Common Core State Standards and the new online PARCC test New Jersey students will take this spring. The new assessment will replace the NJASK in grades 3-8 and HSPA in 9-11 and is designed to be more interactive, using computer-based questions aligned to the new State Standards. To help parents stay informed, we are excited to share our newQ&A guide.  Click this link to read the guide!
This is being shared to help raise awareness of important changes affecting your children. Together, we can arm parents with the information they need to help their child succeed.

We compiled the questions based on what we have heard most frequently from members. We also plan to share more information on the new PARCC assessment over the coming months, so please send any additional questions you or your members have to njpta@njpta.org and we will work to answer them.
